I'll start with a short introduction. I am a young 58, have been a bike rider from 16 yrs old to 42. Gave it up for other pursuits. Last year my lovely wife and I took a vacation to the Smokey mountains. The beautiful roads and scenery brought back memories of my bike riding days in Germany while in the USAF.
For the past year I have longed for the wind in my hair again (actually I long for the hair the most). Anyway, I saw an add on the bulletin board at work for a cute 650 cc bike. A closer look showed it to be a Suzuki Savage 1997 with 1600 miles owned by a lady. I agonized over it for weeks before I decided to have a look. I also found this very informative and positive sounding group of happy owners. Well after seeing and riding the bike I was hooked, the rest is history.
And my darling wife loves it too. What could be better? Smokeys here we come! Hope this group goes on and on. Many thanks to the webmaster.
